J.P. Bond delivers quality photography, graphic design and editorial production services.
I design and photograph for a broad range of clients including universities, advertising agencies, corporations and small business in addition to tourism and natural resources journals.
Working with higher education has been very fulfilling. Recently, my work for academic journals and admissions materials has been the recipient of awards and modest recognition, receiving the 2009 Award of Excellence from the Print and Imaging Association of Georgia for annual report art direction and photography.
I hope you enjoy browsing my photography and graphic design portfolio.

Thanks for writing! I will get back to you soon.
I am a photographer and graphic designer specializing in delivering high quality advertising, outreach and marketing materials to a diverse array of clients.
It would be easy to say "I've been doing this for 15 years" but that wouldn't really be accurate. The truth is I've been doing this, on some level, all my life. The first childhood scolding I can remember came about 10 minutes after my dad picked up a newly developed roll of film and brought it back to our house in La Paz, Bolivia. I still remember the sinking feeling as he happily opened the envelope and began flipping through snapshots with my mother. They came to the end of the stack and I watched as expressions of joyful reminiscing turned to expressions of confusion and then to anger. Then, the stares turned toward me. "John Paul! Young man, I told you specifically not to play with the camera while it was on my bed." Dad then showed me the low-angle "bedscape" of random items that comprised the last 3 photos on the roll and evidence of my tampering. We were poor and "wasted frames mean wasted money, son." Boy, has that motto stuck!! It is now 30 years later, digital photography has taken the 35mm format by storm but that phrase echoes through my head every day. In fact, a lot of my success is based on it.
My passion for photography and design is fueled by the inspiration I get when traveling, meeting new people and coming in to contact with new ideas, knowledge, culture and human enterprise. I have lived in seven different countries, traveled across the globe and there is still so much to see and do.
The question I am asked the most is: "How can you successfully be both photographer and designer?"
The answer: "Why not!" Combining my skill set enables me to better visualize my clients' needs. By working on both the design and photographic sides I can simplify your project's production and timeline and foresee potential complications. For design clients who already have a photographer in mind or who's project would benefit by incorporating a particular photographer's style, my knowledge of the craft will help ensure efficiency and great communication throughout production.
